SAM

Sam is a young, very strong and dedicated gym junkie.  He was finding that he was getting progressively sorer and more restricted in his left shoulder following his personal training sessions (three times a week) which was getting to the point he couldn't sleep on that side.  Together with his personal trainer, exercise modification and specific osteopathic treatment we were able to identify the triggers, abnormal movement patterns and dysfunctional areas in his shoulder, back and neck to resolve the pain, restore movement, get him sleeping comfortably and back to full gym junkie status!

RACHEL

Rachel was expecting her first child and experiencing increasing discomfort in her lower back and ribs and across the front of her pelvis, particularly as she entered her third trimester and her abdomen was getting bigger.  Her breathing was getting shallower and she was having indigestion as baby pushed up on her diaphragm.  By mobilising her rib cage, abdomen and diaphragm as well as muscle attachments to her thoracic and lumbar spine and pelvis, Rachel found that she was able to enjoy the latter stages of her pregnancy, happily setting up her nursery - including painting and assembling the cot - right up to the day before her daughter arrived!

MOIRA

Semi-retired and working from home, Moira was enjoying spending more time in her garden and with her husband who unfortunately was diagnosed with rapidly progressing dementia.  She was finding the physical, emotional and psychological toll of being a full time carer was becoming increasingly difficult to cope with and she was having more and more gardening accidents, feeling tired all the time and stopped meeting her friends for coffee.  She had lost her joy for life.  Working with respite care initially and later with support workers to enable a minimal stress transfer of her husband to a care facility close to her and then with her to reduce her understandable guilt in doing so, helping her to regain her mobility and activity level so that she regained her confidence to return to her gardening and social outings, Moira happily found her mojo again.
